Glowing skin is always in.

Summer is a finally here! 

Which means the hot weather will trigger those oil glands and cause your pores to get clogged. And who wants that?

We want our skin to feel smooth, soft, & refreshed! Right? 

Below are 6 skincare tips going into summer. 

 

1) Wipe your face before AND after workouts. Feel free to carry face wipes in your purse. I use neutrogena’s makeup, dirt, and oil removing wipes. Love them!

2) Always wash your face before you sleep. NEVER ever go to bed with makeup on. I know how exhausted you can be when you come home from a night out with the girls. Still find time to wash off that makeup ladies! Makeup on your face while you sleep is one of the most common way to trigger acne!

3) Do not be afraid of Glycolic Acid or exfoliating pads. Exfoliating is your friend! Whether it’s exfolitating pads, sands, or wipes, make sure to find one gentle exfoliating product that works for your skin. 

4) If your skin gets naturally oily like mine, invest in a sulfur clay mask!  Now that the extremely hot weather has taken over Los Angeles, my skin takes no time looking like a shiny mess. I either use the Dr. Dennis gross sulfur mask in the morning to start my day, or right before bed. Best decision I’ve made for my skin. 

4) Your eating habits do affect how your skin looks and feels! It is not a myth. Clean eating has helped my skin TREMENDOUSLY.  

5) Stay hydrated and balanced. Drinking enough water is key! Say goodbye to soda and sugary beverages. Also- I recently added apple cider vinegar to my diet, and I have noticed a positive change in my skin. 

6) Even if you are not breaking out, find an acne cream to put on your face at least 3 days a week. Make sure to put on acne treatments at night, right before bed.
