After graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in business management, Mariah was enthralled by entrepreneurship and philanthropy. The six foot beauty soon began conceptualizing a swimwear brand to encourage women to celebrate the story of their bodies, rather than conceal scars, curves and confidence. She also jumped at the opportunity to work for the Garden of Dreams Foundation at the Madison Square Garden company for a year, where she helped impact the lives of children facing obstacles.
Mariah’s experience sparked a desire to start G.I.R.L, a program designed to empower young ladies to find her purpose and passion in life. In addition, her swimwear brand Kiwi Plum is liberating women to embrace who they are and be who they want to be, unapologetically. The line highlights with coverage. Not only does the brand remind women there is power in loving your body, it also aims to unify women of all sizes, body types, and personalities. Kiwi Plum’s in-house motto is, “There is power when we choose to love, uplift and motivate one another to do extraordinary things!”
